Legal

Terms of use, privacy policy, and cookie policy for the FitOut Post platform. These documents were last reviewed in April 2026.

Terms of use

Effective April 2026

1. The platform

FitOut Post (the "platform") is an independent, privately operated news aggregator covering the global fit-out and interior construction industry. By accessing or using the platform at fitoutpost.com, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, discontinue use immediately.

FitOut Post is not affiliated with any fit-out contractor, client, supplier, or trade body featured in its coverage. References to third-party names, brands, and marks appear for journalistic reference purposes only.

2. Nature of the content

All content is provided for reference only and on an "as is" basis. Articles are aggregated automatically from publicly available sources including trade press, company announcements, and newswires. FitOut Post does not verify the accuracy or completeness of aggregated material.

You should independently verify information before making any business, investment, or legal decision based on content found on this platform.

3. No reliance

We make no warranty — express or implied — as to the accuracy, timeliness, or fitness for purpose of any content. Information may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. We accept no responsibility for decisions made in reliance on material published here.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FitOut Post disclaims all liability for direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental loss or damage arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to business loss or decisions taken on the basis of published content. We accept no responsibility for service interruptions or failure to index specific articles.

5. Intellectual property

The platform's design, structure, and any original editorial commentary are protected by copyright. Aggregated third-party content remains the property of its original publisher. Links to source articles are provided to direct you to those publishers; we do not claim copyright in their work.

6. Third-party links and sources

The platform links to external websites operated by third parties. Those links do not constitute an endorsement of, or responsibility for, the content, accuracy, or practices of those sites. You access them at your own risk.

7. Permitted use

You may not:

  • scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content from the platform without written permission;
  • mirror or reproduce the platform or its structure;
  • represent aggregated material as your own original work; or
  • use the platform in any way that disrupts its operation or harms other users.

We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access at any time without notice.

8. Privacy

We handle any personal data you share with us in accordance with our privacy policy. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any dispute arising from your use of the platform is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts.

11. Contact

Direct questions about these terms to our editorial team or write to legal@fitoutpost.com.

Privacy policy

Effective April 2026

1. Who we are

FitOut Post is the data controller responsible for personal information collected through this platform. We can be reached at hello@fitoutpost.com.

2. What we collect

We may collect the following information:

  • Contact form submissions — name, email address, and the message you send us.
  • Usage data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time on site, collected automatically via server logs and analytics tools.
  • Cookies — small files placed on your device as described in our cookie policy.

FitOut Post is a read-only platform. We do not operate user accounts or require registration to access the news feed or company directory.

3. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 applies, we process personal data on the following lawful bases:

  • Legitimate interests — for analytics and platform security.
  • Consent — for analytics cookies, which you may decline via your browser settings.
  • Contract — where you have contacted us directly and we need to reply.

4. How we use your information

We use collected information to:

  • respond to enquiries sent via our contact form;
  • monitor and improve the performance and security of the platform; and
  • produce aggregated, anonymised usage statistics.

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling.

5. Retention

Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted. Usage and analytics data is retained for up to 14 months in anonymised form.

6. Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • request deletion of your data;
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • data portability where technically feasible; and
  • withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@fitoutpost.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Third parties

We use Google Analytics to understand how the platform is used. Google processes usage data on our behalf under its own privacy terms. IP anonymisation is enabled. We do not sell personal data to any third party.

8. Security

We apply technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No data transmission over the internet is entirely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes to this policy on this page. Material changes will be flagged at the top of the document.
